Iveda, worldwide enabler of cloud-based video surveillance through licensing its Sentir® platform, executed a licensing and reselling agreement with Vietnam-based FPT Telecom, Inc. “The agreement represents a minimum of 10,000 devices and monthly Sentir licenses for cloud management within one year. The hardware revenue is anticipated to represent approximately $2 million of IvedaHome (smart home automation system). The monthly recurring Sentir license fee is $3 per month as each system is activated which will equate to $360,000 annually,” said Bob Brilon, Iveda president and CFO.
Iveda®, worldwide enabler of cloud-based video surveillance through licensing its Sentir®platform, has completed the multi-location phase of installation for VNPT. VNPT is the largest telecommunications group in Vietnam with regional sales and support offices in all 63 Vietnam provinces. VNPT forecasts hundreds of ZEE® cameras sold per month per province and with just 200 cameras per province, which equates to approximately 150,000 cameras annually, the hardware revenue to Iveda is approximately $18 million on an annual basis. Iveda will also receive a perpetual monthly recurring Sentir license fee per camera on the Sentir platform.
The Vietnamese Government has approved the construction of the $15.8 billion Long Thanh International Airport outside Ho Chi Minh City. The resolution was approved with 428 votes in favor, and 17 against, with 16 abstentions, It is expected that the airport will be completed by 2025. It will have an estimated annual capacity of 100 million and will be able to handle five million tons of cargo. Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation will build an industrial park in northern Vinh Phuc province, as said in a memorandum of understanding it signed with the provincial People’s Committee on May 29. The industrial park, named Thang Long 3, covers nearly 300 hectares in Binh Xuyen district and has an initially investment of $135 million.
